Program Outcomes
Students in the Department's Undergraduate Program acquire the following knowledge, skills, and behaviors by the time they graduate:
- Sufficient knowledge in mathematics, science, and engineering subjects.
- The ability to apply theoretical and applied knowledge in these areas to model and solve complex engineering problems.
- The ability to identify, define, formulate, verify, and solve complex Industrial Engineering problems; the ability to select and apply appropriate analysis and modeling methods for this purpose.
- The ability to design a complex production or service system, process, device, or product under realistic and variable constraints and conditions, with a view to improving performance dimensions; the ability to apply modern design methods for this purpose.
- The ability to develop, select, and use modern methods, techniques, and tools necessary for the analysis and solution of complex problems encountered in Industrial Engineering applications; the ability to effectively use information technologies.
- The ability to design experiments, conduct experiments, collect data, draw conclusions, analyze and interpret results for the investigation of complex Industrial Engineering problems or research topics in this field.
- The ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams and in different roles; individual work skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in Turkish; knowledge of at least two foreign languages; effective report writing and understanding of written reports, preparing design and production reports, effective presentation skills, ability to give and receive clear and understandable instructions
- Awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; ability to access information, follow developments in science and technology, use information management tools, and continuously update oneself
- Adherence to ethical principles, awareness of professional and ethical responsibility; knowledge of national and/or international standards used in Industrial Engineering applications
- Knowledge of project management, risk management, change management, and leadership, and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
- Awareness of entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development, and the ability to develop solutions in these areas.
- Knowledge of the impacts of Industrial Engineering applications on health, environment, and safety in universal and societal dimensions; awareness of social and corporate social responsibility
- Information about contemporary problems reflected in the field of engineering
- Legal consequences of industrial engineering solutions
